Episode 31 – Rose Pettiford

Episode 31 (1/27/25) – My conversation with my friend and former co-worker, Rose Pettiford. Her love for radio began as a child. She was always listening to the radio, intrigued by
how it all worked, and loved the old-time radio shows that her hometown Springfield,
Vermont radio station WCFR played on Sunday nights. In High School, she had the grades to go to college, but not the funds, so I went to her local radio station for an internship. Six months later, she was hired as a Part-Time News Anchor and landed the full-time Afternoon Drive News anchor position within a year. Her radio career was built from the ground up, working in Brattleboro, Vermont, Saratoga Springs, NY, Altoona, PA, Watertown, NY, and she’s now Brand Manager for Froggy 104 and 92.3 The Hog in Jackson, TN.
